Our beautiful little Rylee Ray, we wish you a very happy birthday. You are Nannum's buddy, our brilliant, hilarious little princess who fills our lives with so much joy and laughter. I wish we could all be together, celebrating your special day, the way it was meant to be celebrated.

Usually, we would wake up to a house full of family, celebrating this beautiful baby. We would've walked on the beach to get seashells and watch the sun come up and then we would shower her with love, and our home would be filled with balloons, presents, and laughter. But today is nothing close to that. The walls that once sheltered us and the rooms that were once full of laughter have been tainted by an evil presence that lingers in the air and reminds us of the harsh realities we face.

To my Kiana, I want to thank you for making me a Nannum. You have no idea how much it means to me to be a part of your girls lives. I will never forget this day or what it was like watching you bring her into this world. It was one of the most beautiful moments of my life (even if you did throw a few things at me). I would take your pain for the rest of my life if I could take this from you. That is a promise. You are such a good mama, and I am so proud of you. I know that we will have a beautiful celebration when they come back home.
