Dee Davis (Werblun)
FOUNDER & PRESIDENT
I am the proud grandmother of Rylee and Laney and the founder of The Rylee & Laney Foundation. I started this foundation because of the pain, heartbreak, and torment I have watched my family go through, and I could not sit back and let other families face the same struggles alone.
My granddaughters mean everything to me. I’ve stood beside them through every moment, the joy, the laughter, and the unimaginable hurt, and I’ve seen firsthand the failures of a system that should have protected them. That is why I am committed to turning our family’s story into something bigger: a movement that will protect, support, and fight for children and families everywhere.
Outside of the foundation, I am also a business owner in the community, and I know what it takes to work hard, push forward, and lead with strength. This foundation is deeply personal to me. It is fueled by my love for Rylee, Laney and the rest of my family, my determination to see change, and my belief that their story can help create justice, awareness, and hope for countless other families.
This is not just an organization, it is a piece of my heart. And I will continue to fight until families like mine are heard, respected, and protected.

Monica Lashley
TREASURER
I’ve been fortunate to know this family for almost 20 years, and during that time I’ve had the joy of watching the mother of these children grow into the amazing, strong, and loving woman she is today. I’ve shared in so many of their moments, laughing, celebrating, and standing together through challenges, and it has given me a deep appreciation for the love and resilience that hold their family together. Being part of their journey has felt like being part of their family, and I am constantly inspired by the dedication and care she shows to her children every single day.
Professionally, I am a Director of Accounting with over 15 years of diverse experience, including extensive work in HOA property management. I specialize in financial reporting, process improvement, and team leadership, blending technical expertise with a warm, personable approach that fosters accuracy, transparency, and trust.
Beyond my career, I am honored to serve as Treasurer for The Rylee & Laney Foundation. This cause is deeply personal to me, as it provides advocacy and resources for families affected by medical kidnapping and legal abuse. I am passionate about helping raise awareness and ensuring that children are reunited with their families, and I am proud to stand alongside this mission to bring hope and change.

DIRECTOR
Being a part of The Rylee & Laney Foundation is more than just a role for me, it’s personal. I have loved these girls like my own from the very beginning, and I’ve stood with this family through their happiest moments and their darkest ones. I’ve seen the pain and torment that injustice has caused them, and I knew I couldn’t just sit back and watch.
I bring my voice, my energy, and my determination to the table. I’m here to speak up, to rally support, and to make sure this foundation’s mission is heard loud and clear. Whether it’s helping organize events, connecting with the community, or simply being a loud voice when one is needed, I’m committed to doing everything I can to help protect families who feel voiceless.
For me, this foundation is more than an organization, it’s a movement. I’m here because I love these girls, I love this family, and I believe their story can bring real change.
